Odisha Approves ₹3,406 Crore SiCSem Semiconductor Plant Near Bhubaneswar

The state government’s approval of a ₹3,406 crore investment by SiCSem for a semiconductor plant near Bhubaneswar was announced on Tuesday. The decision follows a series of consultations with the company and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The plant is expected to produce advanced semiconductor wafers, contributing to India’s push for self-reliance in electronics manufacturing. The project will create several thousand jobs and is slated to become operational by 2026.
