The National Students' Union of India has raised serious concerns over the accreditation of government nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh, noting that six institutions lack a principal, ten have no vice‑principal and fifteen suffer from insufficient academic staff.

The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) has publicly questioned the validity of the recognition granted to several government‑run nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh. In a detailed statement, the student organization highlighted administrative and staffing shortfalls that breach the standards set by regulatory bodies.

According to NSUI, six colleges are operating without an appointed principal, while ten institutions lack a vice‑principal altogether. Moreover, fifteen colleges do not meet the mandated faculty‑to‑student ratio, leaving many courses without the required number of qualified teachers.

The organization warned that such deficiencies could jeopardise the quality of nursing education and undermine the credibility of the institutions' certifications. NSUI has urged the state health and education departments to conduct immediate inspections and ensure that all colleges comply with the prescribed norms before any further admissions are allowed.
