NSG commandos met with Indore police officials to discuss security measures for the city’s upcoming festivals and approved a mock drill to test the plan.
Indore, Madhya Pradesh – Senior officers from the National Security Guard (NSG) and senior police officials gathered in Indore to review security protocols ahead of the city’s festive season. The meeting focused on identifying vulnerable points, crowd‑control strategies and coordination mechanisms between the NSG and local law‑enforcement agencies.
A detailed mock drill was drafted during the session, outlining the sequence of actions, deployment of personnel, and use of specialized equipment. The drill is slated to be conducted at a major public venue before the first major festival, allowing authorities to assess response times and communication channels.
Both the NSG and the Indore police stressed that the exercise aims to ensure a swift and coordinated reaction to any untoward incident, thereby safeguarding citizens and visitors during the celebrations.
The plan will be reviewed periodically, with additional briefings scheduled as the festival calendar progresses, to incorporate any new intelligence or logistical changes.
Local officials assured the public that safety remains a top priority and that the mock drill will be executed with minimal disruption to daily activities.
