A Norwegian teenager was sentenced to 20 years in prison after being recruited online by a Swedish gang to participate in a murder plot in the United Kingdom.
The teenager, whose identity has not been disclosed, was approached through online channels by members of a criminal group based in Sweden. Authorities allege that the gang planned a murder operation in the UK and used the teen as part of their scheme. After a trial in a UK court, the judge handed down a 20‑year prison term for the youth’s role in the plot.
