The chief of the Indian Army's Northern Command conducted a detailed review of operational preparedness and the security situation in North Kashmir, according to Kashmir Life.

New Delhi – The head of the Indian Army's Northern Command visited the northern districts of Jammu and Kashmir to assess the forces' operational readiness amid the region's volatile security environment. During the visit, senior army officials briefed the commander on recent developments, troop deployments, and logistical arrangements aimed at countering insurgent activities.

The review focused on the effectiveness of surveillance systems, the condition of forward operating bases, and the coordination between army units and local law enforcement agencies. Commanders highlighted ongoing training exercises designed to enhance rapid response capabilities in rugged terrain.

The Northern Command chief emphasized the importance of maintaining a high state of alert while also ensuring the safety of civilians. He reiterated the army's commitment to uphold law and order, and to support development initiatives that address local grievances.

The assessment concluded with a set of recommendations to strengthen intelligence sharing, upgrade equipment, and increase community outreach programs. Officials said the findings will be incorporated into the army's operational plans for the coming months.
