The Ministry of Civil Aviation has granted a license for the proposed Noida airport, marking a significant step toward establishing a new domestic aviation hub in the National Capital Region.
On 13 September 2026, the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced the approval of the airport license for the proposed Noida airport, located in the National Capital Region.
The license allows the project to move forward with land acquisition, infrastructure development and construction of runways, terminals and support facilities.
The new domestic hub is expected to boost connectivity for the NCR, reduce congestion at Indira Gandhi International Airport and create jobs in the region.
