NH-8 Accident Blackspots Cut to 22, 10 New Fatal Zones Identified

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has announced a reduction in accident blackspots on NH-8 to 22, after marking 10 new fatal zones across the route.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) today announced that the number of accident blackspots on National Highway 8 has been reduced to 22.
The reduction follows a comprehensive review of crash data and targeted safety interventions along the route.
In addition to the cut in blackspots, the ministry has identified and marked 10 new fatal zones where accident rates remain high.
These measures are part of an ongoing effort to improve road safety on one of India’s busiest corridors, linking Delhi to Mumbai.
