New Zealand pacer Will O'Rourke has been ruled out of the upcoming home series against India as he continues his rehabilitation.

New Zealand's pace bowler Will O'Rourke has been officially ruled out of the forthcoming home series against India, with team doctors confirming that he will continue his rehabilitation program.

O'Rourke, who has been a regular member of the Black Caps' fast‑bowling unit, suffered an injury earlier this season. The ongoing rehab means he will miss the entire series, which is set to begin in early November.

The decision leaves New Zealand without one of their frontline pacers for the series, prompting the selectors to look at other options in the pace department. The board has not announced a direct replacement yet.

India's home schedule includes three Tests, five ODIs and three T20Is, and the absence of O'Rourke could affect the competitive balance, especially in the fast‑bowling contests on Indian pitches.
