Three fresh Indian web series debut on major OTT platforms this weekend, expanding the streaming slate on Netflix, JioCinema and Apple TV+.
Three new Indian web series rolled out over the weekend across the leading over‑the‑top services – Netflix, JioCinema and Apple TV+. The releases are part of a broader slate of fresh content that the platforms are pushing to retain subscriber interest during the high‑traffic weekend window.
Netflix’s addition bolsters its regional catalogue, while JioCinema, the streaming arm of Jio, continues to expand its original offerings. Apple TV+ also entered the fray with a locally produced series, marking its growing investment in Indian‑language content.
Industry observers note that simultaneous launches on multiple platforms reflect the intensifying competition for viewership in India’s booming OTT market. Audiences can now stream the new titles on their preferred services without waiting for staggered releases.
