NDRF Confirms No Damage to Indian Territory from Nepal Flash Floods

The National Disaster Response Force said that recent flash floods in Nepal have not caused any adverse impact on the Indian side of the border.
Recent flash floods swept through parts of Nepal, triggering alarm in the region as rivers swelled and low‑lying areas were inundated. The heavy rainfall caused rapid water flow in several tributaries that feed into the border rivers shared with India.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted a rapid assessment along the frontier and confirmed that the floodwaters have not crossed into Indian territory nor caused any material damage or loss of life on the Indian side. NDRF officials said that continuous monitoring is in place to detect any change in the situation.
Authorities on both sides of the border are maintaining close coordination, with Indian disaster agencies prepared to respond should conditions deteriorate. For now, the NDRF’s statement reassures residents in adjacent Indian districts that the flood impact remains confined to Nepal.
