The National Crime Bureau dismantled a major India‑Myanmar drug trafficking network and arrested Myanmar‑based trafficker Thancintuang.
The National Crime Bureau (NCB) announced the successful dismantling of a major India‑Myanmar drug trafficking syndicate on Tuesday.
In a coordinated operation, NCB agents seized large quantities of narcotics and seized the Myanmar‑based trafficker Thancintuang, who was believed to be the network’s key facilitator.
The raid, conducted in collaboration with Indian and Myanmar law‑enforcement agencies, is expected to disrupt the flow of illicit drugs across the border and curb the syndicate’s influence.
NCB officials said further investigations will target remaining members and supply chains, with the aim of preventing future cross‑border drug smuggling.
