NC leader Tanvir Sadiq has demanded an apology from former Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti after she criticized police actions in the region.
Tanvir Sadiq, a senior leader of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, has publicly demanded that former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti apologise for remarks she made about police operations in the state.
Sadiq’s demand follows Mufti’s recent comments in which she criticised the conduct of the Jammu & Kashmir Police during a period of heightened security activity.
The NC leader said that the remarks were “unfair and hurtful” to the party’s efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.
At present, Mufti has not responded to the call for an apology, and the NC has indicated that it will keep the issue on its agenda in forthcoming meetings.
