Specialised healthcare services have been expanded in Namchi, Sikkim, with the introduction of a laparoscopic surgery camp and a day-care cancer centre. The initiative aims to improve access to advanced medical treatments for local residents.
The expansion of healthcare facilities in Namchi was reported by Sikkimexpress, highlighting the addition of a laparoscopic surgery camp and a day-care cancer centre.
The laparoscopic surgery camp is intended to provide minimally invasive surgical procedures, reducing recovery time and hospital stay for patients.
Simultaneously, the day-care cancer centre will offer diagnostic, chemotherapy and supportive care services on an outpatient basis, allowing cancer patients to receive treatment without prolonged admission.
These initiatives are intended to strengthen specialised medical services in Sikkim's southern district and improve healthcare accessibility for the community.
