Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has compared the development of Bhogapuram to the rapid growth seen in Shamshabad, Telangana, highlighting the planned city’s progress.
At a press briefing in Visakhapatnam, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu likened the emerging Bhogapuram city to Shamshabad, the site of Hyderabad’s international airport, calling it a "Shamshabad moment" for northern Andhra Pradesh.
Bhogapuram, a planned township near Visakhapatnam, is slated to host a new international airport and a range of industrial and residential projects. The comparison underscores the rapid pace of infrastructure development the state aims to achieve.
Shamshabad, which transformed from a small village into a major aviation hub within a decade, serves as a benchmark for rapid urbanization in India. By invoking this example, Naidu signals the state’s ambition to replicate similar growth.
The statement is expected to attract investors and boost confidence in the region’s future prospects, as the government pushes forward with land acquisition and construction plans for the airport and associated facilities.
