The Nagaland government is exploring a long‑term partnership aimed at enhancing learning outcomes in its state‑run schools, according to the Times of India.
Nagaland's education department has announced that it is looking for a long‑term partnership to raise the quality of learning in government schools across the state. The initiative is intended to address persistent gaps in student performance and to modernise classroom practices.
Officials say discussions are underway with a range of potential partners, including NGOs, private education providers and academic institutions, to design programmes that can be sustained over several years. The focus will be on curriculum enrichment, teacher capacity building and the provision of learning resources.
If the partnership materialises, the state expects measurable improvements in student outcomes, especially in core subjects such as mathematics and language. The plan also includes regular monitoring and evaluation to ensure that interventions deliver the intended impact.
The education ministry has not disclosed a timeline for finalising the agreement, but it indicated that a formal framework could be drafted within the next few months.
