Nagaland Honors 12 Teachers at State-Level Teachers’ Day Ceremony in Kohima

Kohima, Nagaland – The state government marked Teachers’ Day by honoring twelve teachers at a ceremony in the capital city. The event, organized by the Nagaland Department of Education, brought together education officials, the awardees and their families to celebrate the contributions of teachers across the state.

During the program, senior officials highlighted the importance of quality education and praised the selected teachers for their dedication, innovative teaching methods and impact on student outcomes. Each honoree received a citation and a modest cash award as a token of appreciation.

The celebration formed part of the annual state‑wide observance of Teachers’ Day, which aims to recognize the role of educators in fostering social and economic development in Nagaland.
