The Governor of Nagaland officially launched a fleet of ambulances and inaugurated an ACV processing unit, aiming to strengthen emergency medical services in the state.

Kohima, Nagaland – The Governor of Nagaland presided over a ceremony in which a set of newly procured ambulances was formally flagged off for deployment across the state. The event also marked the inauguration of an ACV (Advanced Care Vehicle) processing unit, a facility intended to maintain and service emergency response vehicles.

State officials highlighted that the addition of the ambulances and the dedicated processing unit will reduce response times in remote districts, where terrain and distance have historically hampered medical assistance. The ACV unit is equipped with diagnostic tools and a workshop to ensure vehicles remain operational year-round.

The Governor praised the government's commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and urged local authorities to coordinate effectively with the new resources. The launch aligns with broader state initiatives to enhance rural health outreach and emergency preparedness.

The ambulances are expected to be dispatched to district hospitals and primary health centres within the next few weeks, while the ACV processing unit will begin its operations immediately, providing routine maintenance and rapid repairs.

The ceremony was attended by senior health officials, district administrators and representatives from the state transport department, underscoring a collaborative effort to boost emergency medical services in Nagaland.
