The Nagaland administration has appealed to the state's young population to take part in the Viksit Bharat dialogue, a national platform aimed at shaping India's development agenda.
Kohima – In a recent statement, the Nagaland government urged its youth to actively engage in the Viksit Bharat dialogue, a nationwide consultative process that seeks inputs from young citizens on the country's future development plans. The appeal was made through official channels, emphasizing the importance of fresh perspectives from the state's demographic dividend.
Officials highlighted that the dialogue will cover key sectors such as education, employment, infrastructure, and digital transformation, and that contributions from Nagaland's youth could help tailor national policies to the unique challenges of the Northeast region. The government encouraged students, recent graduates, and young professionals to register on the portal and share their ideas.
The Viksit Bharat initiative, launched by the central government, aims to create a collaborative platform where citizens can propose solutions and critique policy proposals. Nagaland's participation is seen as a step toward greater inclusion of the region in mainstream policy discourse.
The state administration has pledged logistical support, including awareness campaigns in schools and colleges, to ensure broad participation. It also assured that selected suggestions would be forwarded to the central coordinating committee for consideration in upcoming policy drafts.
