Online fashion retailer Myntra announced the creation of over 26,000 temporary positions to support its upcoming festive sales.
Myntra, a subsidiary of the Flipkart group, disclosed that it will recruit more than 26,000 temporary employees across its supply‑chain network to handle the surge in orders expected during the festive shopping period.
The hiring drive targets roles such as warehouse operatives, order pickers, packers and last‑mile delivery staff, with contract durations ranging from a few weeks to a few months.
This expansion mirrors a wider e‑commerce trend of scaling manpower ahead of high‑traffic events like Diwali and year‑end sales, aiming to sustain order‑fulfilment speed and service quality.
Myntra did not reveal the total cost of the temporary workforce but indicated that the additional staff will help meet customer expectations during the peak season.
