Following a complaint from Apple Inc., Muzaffarpur city police raided several shops in Apsara Market and confiscated duplicate chargers, cables, back panels and covers.

The Muzaffarpur city police, acting on a formal grievance lodged by Apple Inc., conducted a coordinated raid on multiple retail outlets in the Apsara Market on Thursday. Officers entered the premises, inspected inventory and seized a range of counterfeit accessories bearing the Apple brand, including chargers, data cables, back panels and protective covers.

According to the police statement, the seized items were identified as unauthorized replicas that violate intellectual‑property rights and could potentially harm consumers. The raid was part of a broader effort to curb the sale of fake electronic goods in the region.

Local market vendors were questioned, and the police have launched an investigation to trace the source of the counterfeit supply chain. No arrests have been reported yet, but authorities indicated that further legal action will follow against those found responsible.

Apple India has previously warned consumers about the risks of using non‑genuine accessories, citing safety concerns and warranty voidance. The recent seizure underscores the company's ongoing collaboration with law‑enforcement agencies to protect its brand and consumer safety.

The incident highlights the challenges faced by Indian retailers in distinguishing genuine products from imitations, prompting calls for stricter monitoring and consumer awareness campaigns.
