Police in Muzaffarpur’s Chandwara area arrested Lalit Kumar after a family alleged he abducted and assaulted a teenage girl who resisted his advances.
On Wednesday evening in the Chandwara locality of Muzaffarpur’s Nagar police jurisdiction, a case of alleged molestation and physical assault involving a minor came to light. According to the family, the girl was forcibly taken from her home and beaten after she resisted the accused’s inappropriate advances.
The relatives claim that the accused, identified as Lalit Kumar, has been harassing their three daughters for roughly three months, creating a pattern of intimidation. The latest incident escalated when the girl allegedly refused what the family describes as a "bad touch," prompting the accused to drag her away and assault her.
Muzaffarpur police registered a FIR based on the complaint and promptly detained Lalit Kumar. Investigators are collecting statements from the victim, her family, and potential witnesses, while a medical examination of the girl is being arranged to document any injuries.
