Police in Jabalpur’s Khitaula area discovered the body of a 50‑year‑old mute, deaf and paralyzed woman tied up inside her home, and reported that her mangalsutra and other belongings were missing.

Officers entered a residence and found the lifeless body of a 50‑year‑old woman lying on the floor, her hands tightly bound with a rope. The victim was identified as mute, deaf and physically disabled, relying on family support for daily activities.
According to the preliminary report, the woman’s body showed signs of foul play, prompting a murder investigation. Investigators noted that the victim’s mangalsutra – a gold wedding necklace – and several personal items were absent from the scene, suggesting a possible robbery motive.
