Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has urged the formation of a committee to investigate the alleged leak of MPSC examination papers, targeting the commission’s chairpersons and members.

A leak of Maharashtra State Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination papers has raised serious concerns about the integrity of the recruitment process. The incident, which came to light after several candidates reported suspicious similarities in the question papers, has prompted a call for a thorough investigation.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in a statement to the press, recommended that a special panel be constituted to probe the matter. The CM specifically mentioned that the investigation should focus on the chairpersons and members of the MPSC, who are responsible for safeguarding the examination material.

The MPSC has yet to release an official statement, but the leak has already triggered a wave of speculation about potential lapses in security protocols. The commission’s leadership is expected to respond to the CM’s request and outline the steps that will be taken to prevent future breaches.

If the panel finds evidence of wrongdoing, it could lead to disciplinary action against the implicated officials and a review of the commission’s internal controls. The state government has pledged to ensure that the recruitment process remains transparent and fair for all aspirants.
