MP urges central govt to fund 13 JNVs and two AIIMS in Andhra Pradesh

A member of Parliament has asked the central government to allocate budgetary funds for 13 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and two All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Andhra Pradesh.
A parliamentarian from Andhra Pradesh has formally requested that the Union budget earmark funds for the establishment and upgradation of 13 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) in the state. The same appeal also includes financial backing for two new All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) projects that are slated for construction.
JNVs are residential schools aimed at providing quality education to meritorious students from rural backgrounds, while AIIMS are flagship medical institutions that deliver tertiary healthcare and medical education. The MP highlighted that both sets of institutions are critical for improving educational outcomes and healthcare access in the region.
The request was presented during a parliamentary discussion on fiscal allocations, where the member emphasized the need for timely funding to avoid project delays. No official response from the Finance Ministry has been recorded yet, and the allocation will be considered as part of the upcoming budget deliberations.
