MP to Pay Gujarat Rs 217 Cr to Resolve 30-Year-Old Narmada Dispute

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that a 30-40 year old inter-state dispute related to the Sardar Sarovar project has been resolved. The state government will pay Rs 217 crore to Gujarat as part of the settlement.
Madhya Pradesh is set to release Rs 217 crore to Gujarat to settle a long-standing inter-state dispute concerning the Sardar Sarovar project. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that this resolution brings an end to a conflict that has persisted for three to four decades.
The financial settlement is expected to pave the way for smoother cooperation on the crucial water resource project. The Chief Minister also briefly touched upon the state's achievements in water conservation, culture, sports, and industrial development.
