An alleged scam involving the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds has surfaced in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, where old water bodies and even potholes were reportedly passed off as new projects to claim crores of rupees.

An investigation has been ordered into alleged financial irregularities within the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) schemes in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. Reports indicate that substantial funds were sanctioned by misrepresenting existing water bodies and even potholes as newly developed projects.

Specifically, allegations suggest that old ponds, drains, and road craters were falsely presented as new reservoirs to facilitate the release of crores of rupees. This practice has raised serious questions about the oversight and implementation of DMF projects in the region.

District Collector Dr. Kedar Singh has acknowledged the seriousness of the matter and has initiated a thorough inquiry. He has assured that strict action will be taken against all individuals found responsible for misappropriating these funds.
