Three patwaris in Madhya Pradesh were suspended by SDMs of Ashoknagar, Eisa Gadh and Mungawali for failing to produce land maps, being absent for 82 days and not responding to notices.
The revenue department of Madhya Pradesh announced the suspension of three patwaris in a decisive move to curb administrative lapses.
The officers, serving in the villages of Bamori Tal, Ganeshkheda and Bamori Khutia, were found to have neglected their duties by not preparing required land maps, remaining absent for 82 days and failing to respond to official notices.
The State Deputy Magistrates (SDMs) of Ashoknagar, Eisa Gadh and Mungawali took the step after receiving complaints from local residents and after an internal audit highlighted the irregularities.
The department stated that the suspensions were part of a broader effort to strengthen revenue administration and ensure compliance with land record protocols.
