The Madhya Pradesh High Court set aside a vote recount order in the Sagar Bar election, noting it was passed without affording the president-elect a hearing.

The Sagar Bar association held elections for its office bearers, after which a vote recount order was issued by the concerned authority.

The president-elect challenged the order, contending that it was passed without providing an opportunity to be heard.

Observing the lack of a hearing, the Madhya Pradesh High Court held that the order violated principles of natural justice.

Consequently, the court set aside the recount order and directed the authority to reconsider the matter after giving the president-elect a chance to present his case.
