MP Government Tightens Promotion Process, Mandates DPCs for All Departments

The state’s promotion backlog, which has lingered for years, has prompted a new directive from the Madhya Pradesh government. All state departments are now ordered to convene Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) and submit their recommendations within a set deadline. The Government Accountability Department (GAD) has set a firm timetable, warning that any delay will trigger further action. Officials say the move aims to streamline promotions, improve morale and restore confidence in the civil service system.
