The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) announced on Thursday that it will dissolve all of its internal departments and cells.
The decision follows a review that found several units were underperforming, with limited impact on the party’s campaign strategy.
As part of the restructuring, six district presidents—whose performance metrics fell below the committee’s benchmarks—will be relieved of their posts.
MPCC officials said new appointments will be made to strengthen grassroots organization ahead of the upcoming elections.
