Madhya Pradesh's cabinet has approved the continuation of two key schemes aimed at women's empowerment and social upliftment, allocating over Rs 1,740 crore for the next five years.

The Madhya Pradesh state cabinet has greenlit the continuation of two significant welfare initiatives: the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana and the Kalyani Vivah Sahayata Yojana. This decision aims to bolster women's empowerment and facilitate social upliftment across the state.

The financial outlay for these schemes has been set at Rs 1,740.57 crore. This substantial funding is earmarked for a period of five years, commencing from April 1, 2026.

These programs are designed to provide financial assistance and support to women, contributing to their social and economic well-being.
