Authorities have launched an investigation following allegations that 11 devotees were charged ₹13,200 for 'protocol darshan' at Omkareshwar. A police constable has been line-attached as part of the action.
An inquiry has been initiated in Madhya Pradesh concerning alleged financial misconduct during special darshan arrangements at the Omkareshwar temple. Reports indicate that a group of 11 pilgrims were purportedly charged a sum of ₹13,200 under the guise of 'protocol darshan'.
Following these accusations, a police constable involved in the matter has been transferred and attached to the lines, signifying a disciplinary measure pending the investigation's outcome. Further action has also been initiated against a security guard and a photographer who were allegedly part of the incident.
