A massive rice scam has been uncovered in Madhya Pradesh, with 13 accused booked for misappropriating government fortified rice worth 12 crore rupees. The police have intensified their investigation into the matter.
The rice scam, which has come to light in Balaghat, involves the alleged misappropriation of government fortified rice meant for public distribution. The accused, including the owner of an ethanol plant and his son, are on the run. According to the police, documents revealing the misappropriation of 5,429 metric tons of rice have been seized. The police have registered an FIR against 13 individuals in connection with the scam.
