Mother and Son Die in Electrocution While Saving Each Other in Bihar Eggplant Field

During a routine operation in a Bihar eggplant farm, a son was electrocuted; his mother rushed to rescue him but was also struck, and both died on the spot.
A tragic accident unfolded in a vegetable farm in Bihar when a young man named Rahul was working in an eggplant field and came into contact with an exposed electric line. The sudden shock left him unconscious and in immediate danger.
Seeing her son in peril, his mother, Rinku Devi, ran towards him in an attempt to pull him away from the live wire. In the process, she too touched the energized conductor and suffered a fatal electric shock.
Both victims collapsed on the field and were pronounced dead at the scene by attending officials. Local police and the electricity department were called to the site, and an investigation into the cause of the exposed line has been launched.
Authorities have urged farmers to ensure that all electrical installations in agricultural areas are properly insulated and to avoid working near live wires without proper safety gear.
