The monsoon over Himachal Pradesh has weakened, with meteorologists forecasting a possible withdrawal by 25 September and no rain expected for the next six days.

The monsoon that has been drenching much of northern India is now losing strength over Himachal Pradesh, according to the India Meteorological Department. Forecast models show a marked reduction in rainfall intensity across the state.

Meteorologists say the system could pull back completely by 25 September, and the department has issued a dry spell advisory indicating that no measurable rain is likely for the next six days.

The expected lull comes as the region prepares for the post‑monsoon agricultural cycle, and officials have warned that prolonged dryness could affect sowing schedules and water reservoirs if the trend continues.
