The monsoon has become active again across Rajasthan, with a heavy rain warning issued for the eastern districts from September 4 to September 6, affecting Jaipur and surrounding areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the monsoon trough has moved back over Rajasthan, marking a renewed phase of rainfall after a brief lull.
An alert for heavy rain has been issued for the eastern part of the state from September 4 through September 6. Districts such as Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Dholpur and Karauli are expected to experience intense showers accompanied by strong gusts.
Local authorities have warned residents to stay prepared for possible waterlogging and to avoid low‑lying areas. Schools and offices in the affected districts may suspend outdoor activities if conditions worsen.
The renewed activity follows a relatively dry spell earlier this month, and forecasters say the moisture influx could persist for the next few days, keeping the region under watch until the end of the week.
