The monsoon break over Rajasthan has ended, with rain forecast to begin on September 4 across several districts and a rain alert issued for the Kota‑Jaipur corridor.

The Rajasthan State Disaster Management Authority confirmed that the monsoon lull over the state has officially ended. Meteorologists predict a noticeable increase in rainfall starting on September 4, marking the resumption of the seasonal downpour.

Rainfall is expected in the districts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota and Ajmer, with the Bharatpur‑Kota stretch identified as the area most likely to receive heavy showers. The weather department has issued a rain alert covering the Kota‑Jaipur corridor, urging residents to stay prepared for sudden downpours.

Local authorities have advised farmers to protect standing crops and advised commuters to exercise caution on roads, especially in low‑lying areas prone to waterlogging. The renewed monsoon is expected to benefit the agricultural sector, but officials warn of possible disruptions in transport and daily activities until the rains subside.
