Speaking in New York, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat asserted that Hindutva cannot exclude Muslims from India, and that any Hindu who holds such an exclusionary view ceases to be a Hindu.

During a public address in New York City, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the concept of Hindutva and its relationship to India’s religious diversity. He emphasized that the ideology of Hindutva, when truly understood, does not envisage the exclusion of any community, including Muslims, from the Indian nation.

Bhagwat warned that any individual who identifies as a Hindu while insisting that Muslims have no place in Bharat is, in effect, abandoning the core principles of Hindu identity. He framed such an exclusionary stance as incompatible with the inclusive vision he associates with genuine Hindutva.

The remarks were reported by The Hindu, highlighting the leader’s attempt to steer the discourse on communal harmony within the broader political narrative of the RSS.
