Mohali Police Arrest Man Who Lured Teen Girl to Rajasthan with Fake Film Job Offer

A man was taken into custody in Mohali after investigators said he deceived a teenage girl by promising a film role and transported her to Rajasthan.
Mohali police detained a suspect on Tuesday after a complaint revealed that he had taken a teenage girl from Punjab to Rajasthan, claiming he could secure her a role in the film industry. The investigation, led by the city’s crime branch, found that the promise of a movie contract was a ruse to lure the minor away from her family.
According to officials, the accused travelled with the girl to a hotel in Rajasthan before the deception was uncovered. The girl was rescued unharmed and returned to her parents in Mohali, who expressed relief at the swift police action.
The police have filed a case under sections relating to kidnapping and fraud, and the accused remains in custody pending further inquiry. No other individuals have been named in connection with the scheme at this stage.
