Mohali Farmers Hold Ground in Rain, Tea Langar Continues Under Tarpaulin

Despite heavy rain, farmers in Mohali kept their protest alive, with a community tea kitchen operating under a tarpaulin.
Mohali, Punjab – Farmers gathered in the city’s protest sites remained resolute even as rain poured down. The agricultural community, determined to keep their demands visible, did not disperse despite the weather turning unfavorable.
A makeshift tarpaulin was set up to shield participants, and under it a community kitchen continued to serve tea to the protesters and passers‑by. The tea langar, a traditional practice of sharing food, symbolised solidarity among the farmers and provided a brief respite from the downpour.
Local observers noted that the persistence of the farmers highlighted their unwavering commitment to the issues they are raising, and the continued operation of the langar under adverse conditions underscored the collective resolve of the protest movement.
