Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, where they discussed defence cooperation, space collaboration, nuclear energy projects and a planned $11.5 billion investment in Odisha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Abu Dhabi on a high‑level visit that included a meeting with Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two leaders exchanged views on strengthening bilateral ties and outlined areas of mutual interest.

Defence collaboration was a key topic, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to joint exercises, technology transfer and procurement of advanced weaponry. Modi highlighted India’s growing role in the Gulf region’s security architecture.

The discussion also covered space science and nuclear energy. The parties explored joint satellite projects and the potential for India’s nuclear technology to support Abu Dhabi’s energy diversification plans.

A significant outcome of the talks was the announcement of a $11.5 billion investment by Abu Dhabi entities in Odisha’s infrastructure and industrial parks, which is expected to create thousands of jobs and boost the state’s economic growth.
