The Mizo National Front (MNF) has declared that it will hold organisational polls following the 2028 Mizoram assembly election.
The decision was disclosed by senior MNF leader and former Chief Minister Zoramthanga.
Organisational polls are internal elections held by the party to elect its office-bearers and strengthen its internal structure.
Zoramthanga said the move aims to prepare the party for future electoral challenges and ensure democratic functioning within its ranks.
