Mizoram Launches 360 Anti‑Drug Operations Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

Mizoram’s authorities said that a total of 360 anti‑drug initiatives were executed under the latest phase of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the central government’s drive to curb substance abuse. The operations included awareness camps, school outreach programmes, police raids on suspected drug dens and referrals to rehabilitation centres, involving police, health officials and local NGOs. Officials noted that the activities reached even remote districts, targeting the rising incidence of narcotics use among young people. The state has pledged to sustain the momentum with regular monitoring, community participation and further capacity‑building measures.
