Mizoram CM Meets Shah

In a significant development, the Mizoram Chief Minister recently met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting was centered around the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2020, commonly referred to as the FCRA Bill. Following the meeting, the Chief Minister clarified that the bill will not have a retrospective effect. This implies that the provisions of the bill will apply only to future transactions and not to any contributions received prior to its enactment.
