The Bharatiya Janata Party in Mizoram announced a rally for today, aiming to challenge the ongoing protests against the recent revision of electoral rolls.
The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Mizoram said it will hold a public rally today to voice its position against the protests that have erupted following the recent revision of electoral rolls.
The roll revision, undertaken by the Election Commission, has drawn criticism from sections of the public who allege it could affect voter registration. The BJP contends that the demonstrations are politically motivated and intends to mobilise its supporters through the rally.
Party officials appealed to supporters to attend the gathering, reaffirming the BJP's commitment to a transparent electoral process while urging authorities to maintain law and order during the event.
