Mizoram's tourism department is launching a suite of digital tools, including a new website and mobile app, to promote the state's scenic destinations to domestic and international travelers.

The Mizoram government announced a comprehensive digital campaign aimed at highlighting the state's natural beauty, cultural heritage and adventure opportunities. A dedicated tourism website will feature high‑resolution images, virtual tours and itineraries for popular spots such as Aizawl, Champhai and the Dampa Tiger Reserve.

In addition to the website, a multilingual mobile application is being rolled out, offering real‑time information on accommodations, transport and local events. The department is also leveraging social‑media channels and short‑form video platforms to reach younger travelers, while experimenting with augmented‑reality experiences that overlay historical facts onto landmark sites.

The initiative, funded through the state’s tourism budget and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, aims to increase visitor footfall by making planning easier and more engaging. Officials expect the digital push to complement traditional promotional efforts and boost revenue for local businesses.
