Minister Sushanta Chowdhury urges peace, harmony and security for Durga Puja

Tripura’s Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that the upcoming Durga Puja should be marked by peace, harmony and robust security measures. He highlighted that the festival, a major cultural event for the state’s Hindu community, must remain a time of collective joy without any threat of violence or unrest.
The minister stressed that maintaining communal harmony is essential, urging citizens to respect each other's traditions and to cooperate with law‑enforcement agencies. He appealed to the public to refrain from actions that could disrupt the festive atmosphere.
Chowdhury also called on local administration and police officials to ensure adequate security arrangements at puja venues, processions and public gatherings. He assured that the government is prepared to act swiftly against any activity that could jeopardise the safety of devotees.
By reinforcing these messages, the minister aims to set a tone of unity and safety for the celebrations across Tripura, reinforcing the state’s commitment to a peaceful festive season.
