Delhi government minister Raghav Chadha publicly welcomed the rollout of new 30‑day prepaid mobile recharge plans.
The plans, introduced by major telecom operators under the guidance of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), offer a full month of voice, data and SMS services at a fixed price, responding to consumer demand for longer‑duration prepaid options.
Chadha said the initiative will bring relief to millions of prepaid users who previously had to top‑up weekly and will further promote digital inclusion. The government will monitor implementation to ensure transparency.
The plans are expected to be available nationwide from next week, with operators set to announce pricing shortly.
