The sessions featured a panel of retired army officers who recounted battlefield experiences, followed by literary readings from memoirs and poetry written during and after the war. Organisers said the focus aims to revive public memory of the war and encourage research on defence literature.
College principal Dr. Harpreet Singh highlighted the importance of such events in bridging academic study with lived military history. The festival, which runs for three days, also includes exhibitions of wartime photographs and artifacts loaned by the Punjab State Archives.
