# Mental Health Awareness Programme Held at Kanya Higher Primary School’s Adolescent Centre in Jalahalli on the Occasion of World Health Day
**Experts create awareness about the importance of mental health, stress management and AIDS**
**Jalahalli, October 13:** A mental health and health awareness programme was organised at the Adolescent Centre of Kanya Higher Primary School in Jalahalli village, Devadurga taluk, Raichur district, on the occasion of World Health Day.
Speaking at the programme, Dr. R.S. Hulmani Gowda, Medical Officer at the Community Health Centre, elaborated on the importance of mental health and emphasised that mental well-being should be given equal importance as physical health.
Abdul Rahman Qureshi, a member of the Jalahalli Gram Panchayat, said that maintaining mental peace is essential in today’s stressful lifestyle. He urged everyone to take care of their health, remain mentally stable despite work-related pressures and lead a peaceful life.
Dr. Rajesh provided information about AIDS and advised people to overcome misconceptions about the disease and develop proper awareness. He also explained how QR codes can be used to access health-related information and how people can utilise available health screening facilities.
